Attention Hearing Researchers,
The Gordon Research Conference (GRC) on the Auditory System will be held this summer from July 10-15, 2016 at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. Gordon conferences offer a great opportunity for the exchange of scientific ideas in a smaller and more intimate setting. The 5th biannual Auditory GRC is entitled The Plastic and Dynamic Auditory System to reflect the broad range of topics covering all levels of the system. Conference details and list of invited speakers can be found on the conference website: https://www.grc.org/programs.aspx?id=13847
The deadline for GRC applications is June 12, 2016.
The Gordon Research Seminar (GRS) on the Auditory System on July 9-10, 2016 is a special meeting that precedes the GRC. The GRS is moderated by and exclusively composed of presentations by postdoctoral fellows and graduate students. The only exceptions will be a keynote lecture by Jason Sanchez (Northwestern) and a presentation/Q&A session on NIH/NIDCD grants and training opportunities. Travel and meeting support (amounts to be determined) will be provided to a select number of participants. Seminar details can be found on the seminar website: https://www.grc.org/programs.aspx?id=14038
The deadline for GRS applications is June 11, 2016. Although applications will be accepted until June 11, any applicants who wish to be considered for an oral presentation should submit their application by April 9, 2016.
Please forward this email to your colleagues. A poster is attached with additional details. Please contact any of the organizers if you have questions.
