[AUDITORY] Two Associate Professors in Hearing Science at the MRC Institute of Hearing Research

We are delighted to announce that applications are invited for two Associate Professors in Hearing Science at the MRC Institute of Hearing Research (IHR) Nottingham. You will lead an innovative new programme of hearing research at IHR and play a major role in the long-term scientific and strategic direction of IHR. Funding is available for postdoctoral and PhD support for your team.

IHR is the MRC's largest investment in hearing science, with expertise in neuroscience, psychology, acoustics, and medicine. Its mission is interdisciplinary experimental research on hearing impairment, underpinned by basic science into the brain mechanisms of hearing and leading to new advances in the measurement, understanding and interventions for hearing loss. We have very well resourced experimental labs, a flourishing PhD program, and close links with the NIHR funded Nottingham Hearing Biomedical Research Unit.

Experience of perception in severe/profound hearing-impaired people (including the consequences of implantation and other hearing interventions) and functional organization and connectivity (including neuroimaging and neuroscience) desirable. Applicants with expertise in any other area of auditory science relevant to IHR's mission are welcome.

You should have significant post-doctoral experience in hearing, acoustics, speech or a related discipline and an international, peer-reviewed publication record. These full-time positions will be offered on a permanent contract.

Informal enquiries may be addressed to myself (maa@xxxxxxxxxxxxx). Please note that applications sent directly to this email address will not be accepted.
