Loyola University Chicago (LUC), College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Psychology, invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the
assistant professor level to begin Fall 2016. We seek applicants with deep expertise in human neuroscience whose research interests articulate in a strong and meaningful way with one or more of our three graduate training tracks: clinical, developmental, and

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute broadly to our existing interdisciplinary minor and anticipated major in neuroscience (expected to launch Fall 2016), including providing laboratory experiences for the students in those programs. Up to
half of the candidate's teaching responsibility will likely be in courses that serve the interdisciplinary minor and major, with the rest serving psychology majors more broadly. The successful candidate is also expected to establish a strong program of research
that involves undergraduate students, mentor graduate students, and seek extramural funding.
The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in psychology, a record of excellence in research and teaching, potential to obtain extramural funding, and a capacity for strong student mentorship. The candidate should be willing to support the mission of LUC and
the goals of a Jesuit Catholic Education.
Special consideration will be given to candidates whose research employs EEG, eye tracking, NIRS (near infrared spectroscopy), TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation), cortisol or other hormone measurement, other psychophysical measurement techniques, or behavioral
genetics, all in human subjects.
