Assistant/Associate Professor position in SLHS Dept. at Purdue



ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OPENING PURDUE UNIVERSITY

The Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences at Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN is seeking applications for one or more assistant or associate level tenure-track faculty positions in Hearing Science. Primary criteria are excellence in research and in teaching, and candidates from all areas of specialization from basic to translational are encouraged to apply. Ph.D. is required, and essential duties include teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level. This position is a 10-month appointment with anticipated start date of Fall 2016.

The Department is home to top-ranked programs in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology and is the principal occupant of the new state-of-the-art Lyles-Porter Hall. At this site, the Audiology Clinic provides diagnostic and rehabilitative services to infants through patients older than 100 and averages 1,700 patient visits a year.

 Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences is a diverse and collegial department, with 22 academic/tenure track and 15 clinical faculty who have the opportunity to capitalize on an extraordinarily productive network of collaborations and resources that includes strong support for inter-disciplinary and translational research. Hearing researchers at Purdue share a strong network with the Department of Biological Sciences, Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering, and other units, including some joint appointments for hearing scientists.
