Job Announcement: Assistant Professor position

Assistant Professor in Auditory Neuroscience

The Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) is recruiting a new faculty member in auditory neuroscience. This individual will be appointed on the tenure-track at the Assistant Professor level in the Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology of the College of Medicine.

The ideal candidate will be an individual with a strong record of productive research in the area of auditory neuroscience. The individual will become an active participant in NEOMED’s Auditory Neuroscience Research Focus Area (http://www.neomed.edu/academics/medicine/departments/anatomyneurobiology/resear chfocusgroups/draft-auditory-neuroscience-focus-area), a group that includes several research laboratories that focus on central mechanisms of hearing. She/he will be expected to aggressively seek federal funding of her/his research. The individual will be expected to teach in graduate and professional courses associated with neuroscience.

Candidates must have an earned Ph.D. and/or M.D and at least three years postdoctoral research. Experience in formal teaching or guidance of undergraduate and graduate research is highly desirable.
