I recently submitted results of matlab's resample to the SRC comparison website http://src.infinitewave.ca/
By their graphs the signal at -6dB at Nyquist and the filter is very shallow. Check out "Sweep" and "Transition" and compare, for example, to Adobe Audition 5.5 and CS 6.

Thanks to that shallow filtering, there is (of course) very little ringing in the "Impulse" measurement though.

Nice one. Now there is yet another way to read a text file: readtable.
