online harmonic accompaniment experiment

Hello everyone,

As part of my research in machine musicianship, I'm conducting an online study attempting to better understand how listeners judge the relationship between melody and harmonic accompaniment. The study consists of a number of short audio clips of melodies accompanied by various chord progressions, and should take about 20 to 25 minutes to complete. You can find it here:

(note: if the URL directs you to a page with a list of studies, please select "Harmonic Accompaniment")

I would greatly appreciate it if you could find the time to take my study! It may not save the world, but it will help me graduate, and you may find it interesting and/or useful.

Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Many thanks,
