Dear colleagues,
Please forward this message to anyone you think might be interested. Sorry for cross posting.
New postdoc positions are available in the Music and Audio Computing Lab (http://mac.citi.sinica.edu.tw/) at Academia Sinica, Taipei, Taiwan. The positions are available immediately and are for one year with good potential for extension.
We are looking for self-motivated researchers with expertise in one of the following areas:
- sparse coding based music signal processing
- melody transcription
- source separation
- music emotion recognition
- context-aware music recommendation
- multimedia systems for mobile devices
- social media analysis and mining
The postdoc positions are funded by a 5-year project on sparse coding based MIR funded by the Academia Sinica Career Development Award and a 3-year project on context-aware music recommendation funded by the National Science Council of Taiwan.
The postdocs will be given much freedom in pursuing research and, if interested, unique opportunity for participating in the organization of ISMIR at Taipei for 2014.
The salary for the postdocs is about 28,000 USD (pre-tax) per year, but the tax and cost of living is relatively low in Taiwan. For example, rental for a master room nearby academia is about 250 USD per month
To apply, please email a motivation letter and CV to me (via yang@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx oraffige@xxxxxxxxx).
