DSP Research Internship Available

Starkey Hearing Technologies, an equal opportunity employer and a recognized world leader in providing the highest quality hearing technology available, has an exciting opportunity for a DSP research internship position for Summer of 2014 at its international headquarters located in Minnesota, USA. These positions will have a chance to work with a group of talented signal processing and hearing science researchers to develop signal processing algorithms for hearing aids.

 

Qualifications

A Ph.D. graduate student with an excellent academic standing in electrical engineering, computer science or related field is strongly encouraged to apply. Research experience in hearing aids, cochlear implants or audio signal processing is highly desirable.

 

Skills

• Good verbal and written communication skills are required

·         Strong problem solving skills are required

• Proficiency in Matlab is required
• Proficiency in C or C++ or C# is desirable
• Proficiency in advanced digital signal processing is required
• Proficiency in real-time DSP programming is highly desirable
• Familiarity with speech enhancement, microphone array processing or acoustic feedback/echo cancellation, audio classification algorithms is a plus
