Re: audiometric database

Dear Morgane,

There is an incredibly in-depth book by Adrian Davis, "Hearing in Adults", based on a UK-wide epidemiological study of pure-tone thresholds in the 1980s. If you can track down a copy, it provides many tables of summary data split into age-ranges and gender.

To give you a flavour, I see some of the key tables have been made available here: http://www.ihr.mrc.ac.uk/pages/tables

All the best,

Trevor

Dear list,

Does anyone know how/where to find an audiometric database (free or
not) ? The target would be people aged between 30 and 80 (mostly 50 –
80) with NO hearing aids. Even if the databases are anonymous I would
need information about sex and age. This database would be the first
step for a National (French) Research project: Intelligible Car for
Hearing Impaired.

Thanks.
