Track Faculty Positions in Speech and Hearing Science at Arizona State University The Department of Speech and Hearing Science invites applicants from speech, language, hearing or related disciplines, to apply for tenure-track positions at the Associate and Assistant Professor ranks, with a start date of August 2014.
Applicants should have areas of expertise that will complement our current research strengths; teach relevant graduate and undergraduate courses; mentor Ph.D students; and participate in the service of the department, college and university. One Assistant
Professor position will be recruited specifically for research and teaching contributions to the Au.D. program (diagnostics, auditory and vestibular disorders, electrophysiology, and/or adult amplification will be given preference; as will candidates with
AuD/PhD or MD/PhD degrees). Evidence of extramural funding commensurate with rank is expected. In selecting the strongest applicants we will attend to indices of quality of research and productivity, including success in obtaining extramural funding, publication
record, and national visibility commensurate with rank. A PhD in any discipline relevant to human communication and its disorders and a record of publications in scholarly journals appropriate to the desired appointment level is required. Candidates whose
research specialization would complement or build on the core strengths of the department will be considered with preference. Potential for successful interaction with ASU's existing centers of research excellence is also desirable. More information can be
found at https://shs.asu.edu/faculty-employment. Inquiries and letters of application (including names and contact information of three references, and complete vita) are to be sent via email with attachments: shsjobs@xxxxxxx (put “Faculty Hire” in subject
line). Applications will be accepted until November 29, 2013, and each Friday thereafter until the positions are filled. Arizona State University is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer committed to excellence through diversity. Women and minorities
are encouraged to apply. A background check is required for employment. William A. Yost, PhD Professor Speech and Hearing Science Arizona State University PO Box 870102 Tempe, AZ 85287-0102 Phone: 480-727-7148 Fax: 480-965-8516 Email: william.yost@xxxxxxx |
