| A postdoctoral position is available in the Laboratory of Auditory Coding at the University of Pennsylvania to study the multi-neural mechanisms of encoding of sounds in the auditory cortex of awake rodents. We invite applications from talented and motivated candidates with (or expecting) a Ph.D. in life sciences. The techniques include multi-neuronal and single-cell electrophysiological recordings, neuronal imaging and optogenetic manipulation of cortical neuronal activity in awake behaving rodents. Experience in either electrophysiology, imaging or behavioral studies is required. Computational skills, especially knowledge of Matlab, are very helpful.
