Call for participation: Groove Workshop, 13th October, 2012, Porto, Portugal

Dear Auditory list,

I would like to bring to your attention a half-day workshop on the 
multidisciplinary aspects of groove in music which will take place on 
Saturday 13th October 2012.
The workshop is scheduled to directly follow the ISMIR conference 
(http://ismir2012.ismir.net): 8th-12th October 2012, and will take place 
at the FEUP campus of the University of Porto, Portugal (note, this is 
different from the main ISMIR venue).

The workshop will feature four invited talks from distinguished 
researchers currently working on groove from the fields of music 
psychology, neuroscience, musicology and machine learning/signal 
processing. In addition to the invited talks there will also be a poster 
session.

Presenting a poster:
If you would like to present a poster on research related to groove 
and/or rhythm in music, please email a title and 100 word abstract to 
mdavies@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
**Submission deadline: 24th August 2012.
**Acceptance notification: 7th September 2012.

Registration:
The workshop will be *free* to attend, however space is limited, 
therefore registrations will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis.
**Registration deadline: 14th September 2012.
