The NIHR National Biomedical Research Unit in Hearing (NBRUH) offers some of the best infrastructure in the UK for supporting research at the interface between basic and translational hearing sciences (www.hearing.nihr.ac.uk). These PhD studentships represent exciting opportunities to work at the cutting-edge of translational research in hearing and tinnitus, with an active multi-disciplinary research team. We have close links with the MRC Institute of Hearing Research, audiology and ENT services and National charities supporting people with hearing-related problems and tinnitus. Applications are invited for 3-year NIHR-funded PhD studentships working in a number of research groups within NBRUH. You will be registered with the University of Nottingham within the School of Clinical Sciences (http://www.nottingham.ac.uk/scs) and will benefit from the School’s innovative ‘NTrans’ programme of doctoral training in translational research. Funding will provide for all fees and an annual stipend of £15,000. Funded opportunities will be available to present at National and International conferences and students will be encouraged to also apply for local, national and international travel scholarships.
