Special Session on Bio-inspired Processing for Speech and Audio Applications - BPSAA 2012(Call for papers)
Scope and Topics
Bio-inspired systems that are motivated by human auditory physiology and
perception are being used in several speech and audio applications. The
multi-resolution spectral analysis and non-linear transformations
present at various stages of the auditory modelling have been
investigated extensively for many speech and audio applications. The aim
of this session is to discuss about theoretical and applied aspects of
bio-inspired systems and techniques.
Major topics (but not limited to) are:
- Automatic Speech Recognition
- Speech Coding
- Speaker Recognition & Verification
- Health-care and Assistive Technologies
- Hearing Aids
