Applications are invited from researchers with a background in audiology, electrophysiology or other hearing related discipline. Knowledge of databases, data analysis skills, and excellent writing skills are essential. You should have a PhD or equivalent
experience. You should have good communication and organisational skills, be a team player, and have the ability to work independently and show initiative. You will be supervised by Dr Karolina Kluk, Prof. Chris Plack, and Dr Kai Uus.
The project will involve recruitment of participants, collection and analysis of data as well as involvement in the written preparation of research findings for presentations and publications. During the first year of the project, you will validate lab-based
stand-alone electrophysiological tests for use in the clinics; during the second year you will validate the objective audiological test-battery with hearing-impaired patients suffering from a wide range of hearing disorders.
Funding for this post is available for 24 months.The post is available from 1st October 2011 for 2 years.
