Sr. contract audio engineer position available

Starkey Laboratories, Inc., an equal opportunity employer and a recognized world leader in providing the highest quality hearing technology available, has an exciting opportunity for a 3-month senior audio contract engineer at its international headquarters located in Minnesota, USA. This position is responsible for developing audio algorithm simulation, firmware and software to support hearing aid research.

 

Qualifications

A Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science or related field with 5+ years of applicable audio experience is required. The applicant must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. In addition, the applicant must have permissions to work in the United States.

 

Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
• Good interpersonal skills are required
• Proficiency in Matlab programming is required
• Proficiency in Matlab GUI development is required
• Proficiency in C/C++ and C# is required
• Proficiency in Microsoft .Net development is required
• Proficiency in audio signal processing is required
• Proficiency in real-time fixed-point embedded design and development is required
• Familiarity with software and embedded firmware development process is required
• Familiarity with electroacoustic measurement is desired

 

Compensation

Commensurate with experience.
