The SMART Lab at Ryerson University (Toronto, Canada) is searching for a full-time software developer. The developer would join a collaborative research and development project that seeks to create cognitively based tools for music generation and music information retrieval. The selected candidate will work together with Frank Russo (Director of the SMART lab) and waveDNA, an Ontario-based music software development company involved in the areas of music information retrieval, music analysis, and music generation. Applicants must have experience with JAVA. Experience/training in C/C++, MAX/MSP, music theory, and/or cognitive science would be preferred but not essential.
