Sr. DSP Research Engineer Position Available
Starkey Laboratories, Inc., an equal opportunity employer and a recognized world leader in providing the highest quality hearing technology available, has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Senior DSP research engineer at its international headquarters located in Minnesota, USA. This position is responsible for research and development of signal processing algorithms for hearing aids.
Qualifications
A Ph.D. degree or equivalent in electrical engineering, computer science or related field is required. Candidates with a Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer science or related field and 5+ years of applicable experience may be considered. Research experience in hearing aids or cochlear implants is highly desirable. Research experience in audio signal processing algorithms, psychoacoustics or acoustics is a plus.
Skills
* Proficiency in Matlab is required
* Proficiency in C, C++ or C# is required
* Good verbal and written communication skills are required
* Good interpersonal skills are required
* Good organizational skills are desirable
* Advanced knowledge of digital signal processing is required
* Technical leadership in a research project is required
* Proficiency in statistical analysis is desirable
* Familiarity with typical hearing aid algorithms, such as multiple-channel compression, speech enhancement, microphone array processing, learning algorithms and audio classification algorithms is a plus
Salary
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
