The National Center for Rehabilitative Auditory Research (NCRAR), located at the Portland (Oregon) VA Medical Center, anticipates an opening for the position of Director.
The successful applicant will be an outstanding scientist with clinical and/or basic science research interests involving the auditory system, with a strong history of external funding, a significant publication record, and experience leading a group of scientists. He/she will be committed to multidisciplinary and collaborative research, and to ensuring continued education and outreach to scientists, clinicians and Veterans.
The NCRAR is a VA Rehabilitation Research & Development Center of Excellence, and the only such center in VA research dedicated to the study of hearing science and auditory dysfunction. The Portland VA Medical Center is affiliated with the Oregon Health & Science University, and the two institutions are linked by a skybridge. NCRAR faculty generally have academic appointments at the University, as well as their VA appointments.
