Does Masking Depend on Sound Type or Impairment Type?

Hello List,

I am looking for information on studies that investigate whether or not
the amount of masking is dependent on the type of audio track being
processed or the type of impairments in the sound track eg how important
the weighting of a masking model is in a psychoacoustic model based on a
comparison of different audio types or different impairment types.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
