Re: New textbook on music cognition

Dear List,

I have used Thompson, W.F. (2009). Music, Thought, and Feeling: Understanding the
Psychology of Music. New York: Oxford University as a textbook in my Psychology of Music class at College of Music Mahidol University, Thailand. I found that all of my musical students loved it. I do not hestitate to recommend all members of our Auditory community to use this book for reference.

Dear List,

I would like to add my voice to those of Ed Large and Dan Levitin.

"Music, Thought, and Feeling" is a much-needed book, of excellent quality.  I hope it encourages
members of our Auditory community to teach courses in the rapidly
growing field of music cognition.
