Position Summary:

MARCS Auditory Laboratories is a University Research Centre, located within the College of Arts, at the University of Western Sydney conducts research and supervises student research in the areas of speech and language, music and movement, communication and auditory processes and hearing and hearing impairment (http://marcs.uws.edu.au). The Centre has a growing national and international reputation for research in auditory cognition, and has a close working relationship with the School of Psychology. 

The position provides support for an ARC Discovery Project “Music, Arousal and Mood: The Role of Loudness and Loudness Change in Cross-Cultural Music Perception” led by A/Prof Kate Stevens. The project requires the skills of a senior research officer who has had experience working across music and perceptual or cognitive psychology.
