Hello all ,

I am currently doing academic research in the MIR field. I was wondering if anyone could help me out with some references about either :

1. Algorithms to "transcribe" MIDI files into some form which conveys either : melody lines, key signatures, tempo, time sigs, and chord progressions etc

2. Some "metrics" currently beiing employed to measure musical similarity .
