RESEARCH AUDIOLOGIST POSITION AT THE
STARKEY HEARING RESEARCH CENTER

QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have:
? a Ph.D. in Audiology;
? extensive experience conducting experiments with hearing impaired subjects;
? expertise in speech tests and psychoacoustics;
? skills in the use of audiological and psychoacoustic instrumentation;
? an understanding of hearing aid technology and fitting systems;
? knowledge of the audiology research literature;
? knowledge of current hearing aid technology;
? familiarity with audiometer and real ear probe microphone measurements;
? good written and verbal communication skills;
? excellent organizational skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
? work with research group members to design, execute and analyze experimental studies;
? contribute to the development of new research ideas;
? assist with recruiting and qualifying potential research subjects;
? run experimental protocols on research subjects;
? manage experimental documentation and procedures, including writing experimental protocols and final reports;
? maintain up-to-date knowledge on hearing aid technology and advances in audiology;
? publish research in audiology related journals, and present results at conferences;
? collaborate with university researchers;
? coordinate projects with audiology research group in Minnesota.

COMPENSATION
Compensation will be commensurate with the experience of the candidate and includes a 401K plan and health care benefits.
