POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE IN AUDITORY PERCEPTION
A post-doctoral position in Auditory Perception at Brown University is
available for 2 years, beginning in Spring 2007. The aim of the project is
to investigate the acoustic and perceptual organization of sound-generating
events. Projects include psychophysical experiments on auditory
discrimination and categorization of different basic-level events and
auditory-visual interactions. Facilities include a large double-walled IAC
acoustic booth, PC and Apple computers, and TDT audio
equipment. Candidates should have a background in auditory and/or acoustic
research, and should have expertise in either computer programming,
acoustic signal processing, and/or perceptual modeling. Ph.D. must be
completed before starting. Exact starting date and salary are negotiable.
