Job announcement: Postdoctoral Research Scientist in Neuro-Robotics

Research Scientist Neuro-Robotics (MICRAM)
Fixed term – three years
19,340 - 29,211 pounds per annum

Our focus in the MICRAM project is to develop and validate biomimetic
robots, computational neural models and a neuroscience database for
the development of a biologically realistic model of auditory
processing (MICRAM project). The job involves the development of a
biomimetic robot that uses neural computational modeling to simulate the
auditory midbrain.
You should be educated to PhD level or possess equivalent
research experience and a proven ability in research and publication.
A degree in a computing discipline is essential and knowledge of
biomimetic robotics is desirable. Experience with GENESIS or similar
neural modelling and knowledge of the auditory system and
of bioacoustics would be advantageous.
This neuro-robotics post is part of a collaboration between the
University of Sunderland (neural robotics post -- this announcement)
