POSTDOCTORAL POSITION: Cognitive neuropsychology of music
We seek a postdoctoral scientist for a project investigating music reading
and language deficiencies. This an ongoing team project funded by
SSHRC (Canada), including members from University of Montréal (S.Hébert,
R.Béland, I.Peretz), Concordia (C.Beckett), McGill (J.Wolforth), and Queen¹s
(L.L. Cuddy). The lab where activity will take place at the University of
Montréal in the unique and stimulating environment of BRAMS (research group
for Brain, Music, and Sound). BRAMS members use different techniques
ranging from psychoacoustics to neuroimaging.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline (e.g. neuroscience,
psychology, medicine), be fluent in French and English, have a high level of
music training, and have a publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
The appointment is for two years, with a possibility of extension up to
three years. The position will remain open until filled, but to ensure
