The Bases of Difficulties in Spatial Hearing for Speech
This is a 3-year PhD Studentship starting in October 2005 supervised by
Professors Quentin Summerfield and Gary Green. The studentship is
generously supported by the Royal National Institute for Deaf People
(RNID) with an annual stipend of £14,965. The project will study the
bases of difficulties in spatial hearing for speech in older adults using
psychoacoustical techniques and magnetoencephalography. Further details

The department is one of Britain?s top departments of psychology. The
studentship would be suitable for a person who has, or who will soon
obtain, a good degree (first class or upper second) in psychology,
audiology, physics, or a related discipline, who has good quantitative
skills, who is interested in auditory neuro-imaging, and who would be
outgoing in recruiting and working with older adult participants. Tuition
fees will be paid at the UK Home and EU postgraduate rate.
