PhD STUDENTSHIP IN AUDIOLOGY
The School of Healthcare wishes to wishes to attract a high-quality student to study in the area of auditory perception. People with a degree in audiology, the behavioural, or speech sciences (at upper second class or Masters) are invited to apply for a three year PhD studentship, starting in October 2005. You will receive an annual tax-free stipend in the range £12,000 to £13,000, with increases in years 2 and 3, plus tuition fees and an annual research expenses allowance. You will be able to undertake some paid employment by mutual agreement.
The School, which has a vibrant research community and received a 4 in the 2001 RAE, welcomes enquiries in the following areas:
(i) Spatial hearing & vision (ii) Auditory processing, phonological processing, cognition and literacy
The successful applicant will be supervised by Dr Nick Thyer.
