RESEARCH ASSOCIATE
(REF: MHS/081/05)

Circa £19,460 - £23,643 per annum

You will be appointed to work on a project concerned with cochlear dead regions in children. This is an excellent opportunity to engage in clinical research and management of a research project. You will be involved in subject recruitment, data collection and analysis, preparation of progress reports and assisting in the preparation of manuscripts and conference presentation.

You should be a qualified audiological scientist with experience in
paediatric audiology, including selection and verification of DSP
hearing aids. You must be extremely motivated, able to work
independently, and have good organisational and communication skills.
You may involve the assessment of participants within an NHS Trust so
the ability to travel independently either by car or public transport is
essential.

The appointment is full time for an initial period of twelve months (or
part time equivalent), and is available immediately. We are willing to
negotiate secondment from current employment (e.g., from an NHS
audiology service, or from a private company). You may be offered the
possibility of registering for a higher research degree.
