ICAD: Auditory Graphs Symposium

Dear Auditory Research Community,

Please find attached the Call for Papers (PDF format) for the First
International Symposium on Auditory Graphs, to be held July 10, 2005,
in conjunction with the International Conference on Auditory Displays
(ICAD 2005), in Limerick, Ireland.

Auditory graphs are a subset of auditory displays and sonification, in
which data series are mapped to sound attributes for the purposes of
data inspection, analysis, and exploration. In addition to the sounds
representing the data, there are also typically additional "context"
sounds that play a role similar to the axes, tick marks, and grid lines
in a visual graph.

Position papers are welcome discussing past or current research, issues
in the field, techniques, opinions, or views on the research that
remains to be done.
