sony headphones

There was some recent discussion on the list about the sony mdr-v6
headphones, which have an excellent frequency response but which suffer
from (electrical) crosstalk between the left and right phones. I had
planned to follow up suggestions from some list members on how to overcome
this problem, but now find that (of course) the mdr-v6 has been
discontinued. My local sony supplier has contacted sony who claim that the
appropriate replacement is the MDR-CD-770. Does anyone out there have any
experience with these phones?
