               Doctoral Traineeships in Audiology
              Department of Communicative Disorders
                 University of Wisconsin-Madison


The Department of Communicative Disorders, University of
Wisconsin-Madison recently was awarded a doctoral training grant
from the U.S. Department of Education.  The title (and focus) of
the project is "Clinical Research Training in Audiology."  Pre-
doctoral trainees will receive a stipend of $10,000 annually and
tuition for two semesters and the summer session.  Limited funds
are available for trainee travel to national meetings.  The
project begins July 1, 1994 and traineeships will be available to
selected applicants who enter the doctoral program during
Semester I of the 1994-1995 academic year.  Applicants for
doctoral study who wish to be considered for a traineeship should
be interested in a doctoral plan of study and career objectives
that emphasize clinical research in audiology.  The Department
and University are particularly interested in recruiting doctoral
trainees from traditionally under-represented groups.  To be
considered for a traineeship, candidates must meet the admission
requirements for doctoral study in the Department of
Communicative Disorders, University of Wisconsin-Madison.
