A new method for predicting an infinite impulse response (IIR) from a source position to a receiver position in a small rectangular room is proposed. The method predicts the IIR for all frequencies below an arbitrary cutoff. The IIR is stated in terms of a z-transform polynomial; the order of the z-transform polynomial follows directly from the room dimensions and the cutoff frequency. The effectiveness of this model is demonstrated from measurements.
