Vibration of a slotted beam was approached analytically by considering it equivalent to a uniform beam with local additions to bending moment, shear force, and distribution force. Natural frequencies and vibration modes of the slotted beam were studied using this analytical model. Changes in these vibration parameters were studied with respect to the slot location, slot size, etc. Comparison with other theoretical approaches and experimental results will be made.
